About POV 

POV is the Physics of Volcanoes Workshop series coordinated by the Workgroup AK Vulkanology of the German Geophysical Society (Deutschen Geophysikalischen Gesellschaft DGG) since 2015.

POV workshops are completely free, also this year again! You will be able to choose between a full 12+3 minute presentation or a short 3 minute pico presentation plus poster. All presentations will be held in english and live in person (no online only presentations!).

POV and AK Volcanology coordinator is Thomas R. Walter, together with Ulrich Küppers, and Christoph Helo. This is a contribution to the Arbeitskreis Vulkanologie (AK Volcanology) der Deutschen Geophysikalischen Gesellschaft (DGG), supported by Deutsche Mineralogische Gesellschaft DMG, Deutsche Vulkanologische Gesellschaft DVG, and the Deutsche Physikalische Gesellschaft DPG.

POV is non-profit, since 2025 endorsed by IAVCEI, associated to the IUGG through IASPEI, IAVCEI and the German NKGG
